Château Burgozone is one of the few Bulgarian wineries located in immediate proximity to their own vineyards. It is perched on the very bank of the Danube River, over the picturesque island of Esperanto, it bears the name and the spirit of the Roman fortress which was situated on the border of the vineyard complex and provided protection to the Roman Empire from the North.
The Karabunar Winery is located 80 km from the country’s capital Sofia. The village of Karabunar is famous beyond its area for its first quality wines. Located at an altitude of 250 meters and with an annual summary temperature of over 4000⁰С the region has some of the best soil and atmospheric characteristics in Bulgaria for the growth of excellent grapes. Over 80% of the arable land in the region is planted with vines. The quality of the region’s Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety is among the finest in the country.

At 10 or 15 kilometres west of Karnobat, near the Burgas-Sofia road, you can see the Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar rising neatly on a hill surrounded by vineyards. Its architecture pleases the eye at first sight – an elegant retro style balanced out by some modern elements implying the comfort and discreet luxury inside.
Domaine Marash is another new name among the Bulgarian wine producers; it appeared on the market in 2009. The winery is named after the Marash Mountain Pass (Marashki Prohod) in the Balkan Mountains and after a local spot in close vicinity to the town of Straldzha. “Domain Marash” is a modern high-class wine cellar, where high-quality wines and spirits are being produced.
Grape Central is a wine bar and restaurant in the city center of Sofia.
The location used to be an old bakery, which had been closed for years, and they found dilapidated and ruined. They tried to keep its spirit and warmth and make it a pleasant place for meetings, wine events, lazy brunches, private parties, or just a place to enjoy wine.
The wine list contains more than 300 wines and every month they offer over ten different wines by the glass.
Grape Central regularly organizes wine tastings and meet & greet dinners.

The goal is by using traditional winemaking techniques to manifest the uniqueness of the vineyard, its terroir and to make wines, which carry the elegancy and refinement of “ The Old World” and to find the pure balance between the fruit, acidity, oak and the tannins.
In their cellar, the key to the creation of good wine is passion.
