Tohun Winery was built in Pomorie town in accordance with the latest and modern technological principles of winemaking and with the current Bulgarian and European regulations relating to design, construction and winemaking.
The winery has 700 acres of its own vineyards, which are located in the East - Black Sea region, adjacent to the winery. The soil is chernozem Smolnik and leached chernozem.Temperate climate with typical currents of the sea and surrounding high atmospheric humidity during vine harvesting favors the cultivation of grapes. Vines are planted in the period 2000-2006. and varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and in 2013 restructured the existing 25 ha vineyard planted with Syrah, Pinot Noir, Semillon and new branches of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc. Distance of planting in rows is 1.2 m, and 2.5 m between rows.
