Borovitza Winery is situated in the village by the same name and near the rocks of Belogradchik, "Kaleto" fortress, “Magura” cave and “Kozarnika” cave (the oldest remains of modern mankind in Europe were discovered there, older than Neanderthal). As an artisanal winery is oriented mainly toward crafting limited volumes of wines with expressive character and carrying the specifics of the terroir and North-Western Bulgaria is a region that offers good opportunities for growing grapes and wines with distinctive characters.

The major varieties grown are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Gamza, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The winery also owns about 7 ha of vineyards by the Belogradchik Rocks, planted with grape varieties like Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Gamet and Pinot Noir upon sandstone soil.
