Chateau de Val was founded in 1998 by Mr. Val Markoff with the intention to revive the tradition in the region of Vidin and to restore the long-forgotten quality and unique wine. Chateau de Val produces natural red and white wines of high quality.

The following grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernert Franc, Petit  Verdot, Rondo, Carmenere, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Vionie, Aligote, Trebbiano, Traminer and Muskat Canelli have been planted and certified in the own vineyards of "Chateau de Val". The planted representatives of Bulgarian and Eastern Europe include almost all grape varieties: Gamza, Pamid, Misket, Bouquet, Storgozia, Smederevka, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Furmint. "Chateau de Val" possesses 350 decares of two vineyards estates. Chateau de Val is proud of the unique sort of wine called Claret. Chateau de Val also produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cuvée. All their wines are produced in a traditional style, natural grape production, and compulsory fermented and aged in American, French and Bulgarian oak barrels. The aim of "Chateau De Val" is to keep its vineyard organic, environmentally friendly without the usage of herbicides and insecticides.

The wines of Chateau de Val are highly appreciated worldwide and have received numerous awards at many competitions.
