Maryan winery is named after the village of Maryan, where with much love and dedication its oenologists make their wines.
Built at the foot of the Balkan Mountains, the winery combines the best conditions to create unique wines. Only the best grapes are selected for Maryan’s winery wines.
The equipment is specially made for Marya winery and is a winery by the traditional technology for production of red and white wines.
The winery was designed by Svetla and Ilia Ivanov, who in 2010 decided to transform their love of wine into something more. The first harvest of Maryan winery appeared on the market in the summer of 2012. The capacity of the winery is 50,000 bottles per year, and currently, the winery realizes half of it.
Maryan winery is located in the village of Elena (in the Elena Mountain), about 40 km from the city of Veliko Tarnovo. This provides an excellent opportunity for a wine tour in this particularly beautiful part of Bulgaria. People visiting the winery can get to know little snippets of the Bulgarian history, and the rule was stating that wine should tell a story is perfectly followed as a result of the winery’s location.
